Weekly Update: May 22-26, 2023

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension. It is a day when we remember how Jesus ascended into heaven. Before he ascended, Jesus told his apostles that he would send the Holy Spirit to help them tell everyone about God’s message of love and forgiveness.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ,

Right before your Ascension into heaven, you told your apostles to be your witnesses to the ends of the earth, upon receiving the Holy Spirit.
Help us too in spreading your Gospel message in word and deed, according to your will for us.
Inspire us with your guidance and grace as we continue to live as joyful disciples.
We make this prayer in your name.

Amen.

End of Year Mass and Farewell to Fr. Rafal

Our end of year mass will be celebrated by Fr. Rafal Bartosinski on Tuesday, June 6th at 10:15am. Parents and guardians are welcome to join us.

Fr. Rafal, Associate Pastor of St. John Chrysostom parish in Newmarket, was recently appointed as Associate Pastor at the parish of Guardian Angels in Orillia. He will begin this new assignment at the end of June.

We thank Fr. Rafal for supporting the faith journey of our students, staff and parents/guardians. We are grateful for the many masses he celebrated with our school community, providing us with the opportunity to receive the sacraments of confession and communion, and teaching students during his class visits about the Good News of the Gospel.

We look forward to recognizing Fr. Rafal on June 6th, following our school mass. May God bless him as he begins this new chapter of his vocation as a priest.

We welcome Fr. Carlos Marquez who will serve as the new Associate Pastor at St. John Chrysostom Parish.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

St. Nicholas, pray for us.

Wishing you a great week!

Sincerely,
C. Quadrini, Principal
