Dear parents/guardians:
As you may have noticed this year, Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day fall on the same Wednesday of February this year. This is a rare occurrence and it is giving us the opportunity to be intentional about our celebrations. Since Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting (eating less) and abstinence (refraining from eating certain foods), we ask that you not send in Valentine gifts on this day. Instead we will celebrate a combined Valentine’s Day/Mardi Gras on Tuesday, February 13th.
We also invite you to join us for our Ash Wednesday Liturgy at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14th 2018. At this time we will celebrate the beginning of our Lenten journey in preparation for Easter.
