This week, May 4th to 8th, is Catholic Education Week. During this week we celebrate the gift of our faith, schools, students and communities. The theme for this years’ celebration is Igniting Hope. Throughout this week, York Catholic will honor public education, its Catholic faith and become messengers of hope by sharing their inspiring stories. To celebrate and kick off Catholic Education Week, the staff at St. Nicholas has prepared this Spiritual Bouquet for all of you. Enjoy!
We also want to challenge all of our students to participate in the Ignite Hope Rock Challenge. Inspired by the URock Challenge created by former St. Nicholas students, we want to participate (with a twist!). Students are asked to paint a rock, write a message of hope on it, place it somewhere on the ground for someone else to find. Parents/guardians be sure to tweet a photo of your rock; tag us @SNS_ycdsb and hashtag #StNicksIgnitesHope
