Newmarket Public Library is running the Forest of Reading program virtually at the Library. The Library has print and ebook formats of all the titles in the Silver Birch, Silver Birch Express and Red Maple Programs. Students can join the program virtually through our website and access the titles online or by placing them on hold and then coming into the Library to pick up holds.

Kids, the annual Forest of Reading awards program is here! Discover great books, read 5 of the 10 titles nominated in your age group’s award category, then vote through the library or your school in April for your favourites. NPL has three programs: The Silver Birch Express Award (ages 8 to10), The Silver Birch Fiction Award (ages 8 to12), and The Red Maple Award (ages 12 to 14). All titles can be borrowed from NPL, either as eBooks or print books that can be placed on hold for curbside pickup.
