February is Black Heritage Month. During this month, we celebrate the contributions of people of African ancestry to the development of contemporary culture and society. May their example inspire everyone to build a community of justice in our school, community, and throughout the world.
Loving God,
We call on you to send the Spirit
who moved the great people recorded in our history,
and those unnamed by us,
to respond to the needs and challenges of their time.
Send that Spirit to rest among us, and in us,
that we be worthy
to have our names called in the prayers
of our children and our children’s children.
We pray this in Jesus’ name.

Black Heritage Month is about celebrating Black Excellence. It is about celebrating resilience, innovation, and determination to work towards a more inclusive and diverse Canada.
As part of Black Heritage Month, staff will engage students in learning about the stories, experiences, and accomplishments of Black Canadians.

Pump Your Heart Dance-A-Thon Fundraiser
St. Nicholas’ Catholic School Council (CSC) is pleased to present the PUMP YOUR HEART Valentine’s Day Dance-a-thon! This is a movement based celebration for heart health and overall physical well-being.
