Truth and Reconciliation 2023
Our week came to a close with students and staff showing their commitment to change by honouring Truth and Reconciliation Day, also known as Orange Shirt Day. There are many pathways to reconciliation but it all begins with RESPECT, respecting ourselves and each other, which is what we strive to do each and every day at St. Nicholas. Our commitment to remembering the past and improving the future is ongoing.

A Visit with Karl Subban
St. Nicholas is proud to present a day with Karl Subban on
Thursday, October 12, 2023 in the school gym. Karl Subban will
be speaking about working, learning and playing together,
despite our differences. He will be presenting to our staff and
students during the school day and parents in the evening at
7pm. Admission is free!
Having raised three sons who all made it to the NHL, as well as
two successful daughters, Karl Subban has dedicated his life to
helping people realize their potential, as he understands the
hard work, dedication, commitment it takes to succeed.
Please fill out the Google Form to register and don’t miss out on
this great opportunity.

Luke 4:18 Food Drive
We are asking our St. Nicholas community to show their support as we will be participating in and collecting items for our Thanksgiving Food Drive this week.
The Newmarket Pantry will require items such as canned or dry food items e.g., canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned beans, pasta, rice, jam, cereal, dry soup, cereal, canned soup, baked beans, all toiletries and diapers.
A shout out to Ms. Aloisi, Ms. O’Brien and our students on the Luke 4:18 Committee for taking on this leadership role. Thank you to parents/guardians in advance for your continued support and generosity.
