Special Education Transition to High School Virtual Parent Information Session: Nov 30

Our School Board is inviting Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of children in Grade 7 and 8 who are currently accessing Special Education supports to attend an evening virtual information session to learn more about the following topics:

• the transition process from elementary to secondary;
• the nature of Special Education programs and supports at the secondary level;
• requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), the Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) or the Certificate of Accomplishment; and
• types of courses, specialized programs and post-secondary pathways available to students with identified learning needs.
