Catholic Education Week Begins!

 

We are very excited Catholic Education Week that begins on Monday.

Please look out for tweets that will reflect the ‘virtues’ that we are celebrating this week especially along with our reflections and gratitude for the gift of Catholic Education!

Maple Leafs Day, April 25th

The Toronto Maple Leafs are in the playoffs and about to play in their ‘7th’ game! To support our local team, we are encouraging all staff and students to wear ‘maple leafs’ tomorrow to school.  The most creative and enthusiastic participants will be recognized and awarded.

Earth Week Challenges at St. Nicholas!

We have been very pleased with the student responses and support for our ‘Earth Week Challenges’ at St. Nicholas CES! On Monday, we were all encouraged to enjoy a ‘meatless’ Monday as we learned about the challenges of methane gases that animals produce. Demonstration of support for Homboldt Broncos

 

On Friday, April 6th a tragic traffic accident occurred resulting in the loss of 15 lives. This was a Saskatchewan Junior hockey team called the Humboldt Broncos who were on their way to a hockey game. Blessed Easter Wishes !

Wishing all of the families and friends of St. Nicholas CES a very blessed Easter Break! Looking forward to living our faith through our fundraising efforts for Share Life that begin next week on Tuesday, April 3rd.

Congratulations to Shaun for finishing 9th in Canada!

Congratulations to Grade 8 student Shaun R. who represented Ontario at the National SnowBoarding Championships in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Shaun came in 9th overall in the under 15 snowboarding competition! Well done Shaun and thank you for representing Ontario (and St. Nicholas) so well!
