Good afternoon parents/guardians of St. Nicholas CES.
As you know, safety is of the utmost importance to our school community.We are blessed to have ‘Magic Balloon’ daycare attached to our school. Magic Balloon has clearly highlighted the parking spots dedicated to their staff and parents. In recent weeks, some of our parents have been parking in these spots and causing a lot of traffic build up.
Some of the confusion may have been caused by parents coming to pick up students returning from skiing activities. The daycare parking area is strictly for parents picking up their children from the daycare. Parents waiting for the ski-trip buses should park in the west parking lot.
I am sending this reminder to ensure that everyone abides by the rules of parking on the East side of the school:
DO NOT park in the daycare parking area – move ahead and park on the side away from the taxi/bus area.
DO NOT block any other driver in while you run in to pick up your child.
Respect the parking monitor’s pylons and any direction they may give you.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I sincerely hope that the parking chaos will cease as I will be obligated to close off the East side parking lot if safety continues to be of concern.
