Weekly Update

Virtue of the Month

The month of November will soon be upon us.  Throughout this month, we will be reflecting on the virtue of justice:  justice in our lives, in our communities, and all around the world.

All Saints Day

On November 1st, we will celebrate the Feast of All Saints, or All Saints Day.  On this day we celebrate all the saints of the people of God. We give thanks for the good example of the lives of the saints and all good people who are models for us of compassion, love and justice.  We pray for the courage and the willingness to follow in the footsteps of the saints, today and every day.

The feast of All  Souls, or All Souls Day is November 2nd.  On the feast of All Souls, and throughout the month of November, we remember in a special way our relatives, friends and all the faithful departed who are in God’s great love.

Grade 8 visit to Sacred Heart High School

Your child is invited to our annual Grade 8 “Take Our Kids to Heart Day”, which will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. The seven Catholic elementary associate schools have been invited to Sacred Heart Catholic High School, along with their Grade 8 teachers. Buses will transport your child to Sacred Heart at 9:30am and ensure that they are back at school on time for dismissal.

Transition to high school is an exciting time for us and our families as it marks a milestone in our children’s lives. In order to provide a supportive and caring environment for you and your child/children, we have scheduled a fun day filled with interactive experiences that will help them become familiar with life at Sacred Heart and high school in general.

Remembrance Day

Please join us! On Thursday, November 9th, we will be gathering as a school for our Remembrance Day Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. The Junior students under the leadership of their teachers are preparing a memorable Liturgy so that we may remember the many men and women who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war and peace. Visitors will be asked to sign the Visitor Log upon entry.
